Privacy Policy

This notice explains what happens to personal data when you use this website. The site works without analytics. If you choose to allow analytics, we use it to learn how people find our music and which parts of the site are useful. You can change that choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

Controller and contact

The controller for this website is Milan Dordevic, Friedrichstr. 155, 10117 Berlin, Germany. You can contact us at contact@aen.band.

Legal framework

We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the German Act on Data Protection and the Protection of Privacy in Telecommunications and Digital Services (TDDDG). Section 25 TDDDG governs access to information stored on your device, such as cookies and local storage.

Remembering your analytics choice

We store your choice to accept or reject analytics in your browser's local storage. This is necessary to apply your choice and to avoid asking on every visit. The record contains the choice, a timestamp, and a policy version. It expires after at most 12 months. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to respect your choice.

Google Analytics — only with your consent

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers, including _ga, to collect pseudonymous usage data. This can include pages viewed, the page that referred you here, interactions with the site, device and browser details, approximate location derived from the IP address, and technical timestamps. GA4 uses the IP address to derive location and does not log or retain the full address.

We use this information only to understand the reach and use of our music website. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising personalisation. The legal basis for reading or storing optional identifiers is § 25(1) TDDDG; the legal basis for the related personal data processing is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops further Analytics requests and removes Analytics cookies that this site can remove.

Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, receives this data to provide Google Analytics. Processing can include a transfer to Google LLC in the United States. Such transfers are subject to the safeguards that apply under the Google Analytics terms, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Google Analytics data-retention settings are maintained in our Analytics account. For Google's own processing information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send you news about ÆN, such as releases, available merch, and live dates. Providing your email address is voluntary, but we cannot send you the newsletter without it.

Sign-up uses double opt-in: after you submit the form, you receive an email with a confirmation link, and you are only subscribed once you click it. The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (in Germany in conjunction with § 7(2) no. 3 UWG).

You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge and with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by writing to contact@aen.band. We then delete your address from the active mailing list promptly. Brevo keeps unsubscribed addresses on a suppression list so they receive no further mailings; on an explicit erasure request, we also delete that entry.

To demonstrate your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR), we store the time of your sign-up and confirmation, the IP address used, and the version of this notice shown to you. We delete these consent records at the latest three years after the end of the calendar year in which the consent ends. Addresses that never complete the double opt-in are automatically deleted after 30 days.

The sign-up form sends your email address to Brevo, a service of Brevo SAS (formerly Sendinblue SAS), 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France. Brevo processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) to manage sign-ups, send confirmation emails, and deliver the newsletter. Processing takes place in the European Union. Brevo records campaign statistics such as delivery counts, bounces, and unsubscribes; we have disabled open and click tracking in Brevo. We do not use Brevo's website tracker and no Brevo cookies are set on this website. We do not sell your email address or use it for unrelated marketing. For details, see the Brevo Privacy Policy.

The newsletter is not directed at children under 16; if you are younger, a parent or guardian must sign up for you.

Links to other services

This website links to music platforms, social-media profiles, and Ko-fi. These are ordinary links: their services do not receive data from this website merely because the link is displayed. When you follow a link, that service processes your data under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Subject to the relevant requirements, Arts. 15 to 21 GDPR give you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, receive, or object to the processing of your personal data. You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin (datenschutz-berlin.de). We do not make automated decisions or carry out profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Changes to this notice

If we change the optional technologies or the purposes for which we use them, we will update this notice and request consent again where needed.

How to contact us
